Consultorios Clínica España

2026 Corporate website for a medical clinic, with a headless CMS for autonomous content management and continuous deployment with SSL.
Consultorios Clínica España

Role

Freelance web developer · Consultorios Clínica España

The brief

End-to-end build of a corporate medical clinic website, from frontend to production deployment.

What I built

  • Built the platform with Astro and Tailwind CSS, achieving near-instant load times through an islands architecture with minimal client-side JS.
  • Integrated a headless CMS (Contentful) so the client can manage doctors, services, and schedules without a developer.
  • Set up CI/CD on Cloudflare Pages with automatic deploys on push and SSL, ensuring high availability.
  • Implemented local SEO (metadata, structured data, sitemap), increasing the clinic's organic visibility in city searches.

Gentrification GIS Viewer

2025 — 2026 Geographic Information System for urban research, featuring WMS catalog integration, dynamic layer management, and multi-criteria GeoTIFF processing.
Gentrification GIS Viewer

Role

Support staff · University of Cuenca

The brief

Design and development of a GIS platform for an urban gentrification research project.

What I built

  • Migrated the GeoServer infrastructure from v2.24.3 to v2.27.4, resolving compatibility issues and stabilizing layer publishing.
  • Built the Gentrification GIS Viewer with WMS catalog integration and dynamic layer management for the urban research team.
  • Designed an interactive multi-criteria GeoTIFF processing interface that cut down manual raster-analysis time.
  • Automated the deployment environment with Docker and Nginx, making the system production-ready with no manual intervention.
  • Authored technical manuals and system administration documentation to ensure project continuity.

CLIAS Project — SISA App

2025 Health-center geolocation modules and geospatial web interfaces for an AI-in-healthcare research project.
CLIAS Project — SISA App

Role

Research assistant · University of Cuenca

The brief

Development of geospatial modules for the CLIAS project, focused on applying AI to public health.

What I built

  • Developed the health-center geolocation modules inside the SISA mobile app, used by the project's field team.
  • Implemented web interfaces for decentralized management of geospatial health-network data.
  • Designed and built the project's official website from scratch (HTML, CSS, JS) as its main academic outreach channel.
  • Authored the project's full technical documentation in Docusaurus, used as onboarding material for new contributors.

How I work

I deliver the whole system. This is the work split into its four parts.

Interface

I build the layer people actually use, with an islands architecture and no unnecessary client-side JavaScript.

  • JavaScript
  • TypeScript
  • Astro
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Vue.js
  • React
  • Angular
  • Flutter
  • Dart

Backend and logic

I model the data and the processes behind that interface, and I leave them documented.

  • Python
  • Java
  • Spring Boot
  • C
  • Scala
  • Django

Data and geospatial

I publish and query geographic information: layers, WMS catalogs and raster processing, not just tables.

  • PostgreSQL
  • GeoServer
  • GeoNode
  • MapStore
  • MySQL
  • Oracle

Deployment and continuity

I take the system to production and write the documentation so it keeps running without me.

  • Docker
  • Nginx
  • Linux
  • Git
  • CI/CD
  • Markdown
  • LaTeX

Who I am

The path that explains why I work this way.

Jonnathan Aguilar Lalvay, Cuenca, Ecuador

Hi! I'm Jonnathan, turning complex ideas into clean code.

I am a final-year Computer Science Engineering student at the University of Cuenca. I specialize in Full-Stack development (web and mobile), building comprehensive and scalable solutions that span from interface design to backend architecture and deployment on Linux environments.

My software profile is complemented by my degree as a Technical Bachelor in Electrical Machinery. This integrated perspective allows me to develop a much deeper understanding when approaching interdisciplinary projects, complex system development, or IoT technology integration.

I am passionate about exploring the intersections between technology and automation, particularly the application of Artificial Intelligence in software architecture. From geographic information systems for urban research to web platforms for local businesses, my focus is always on creating products that generate a real impact.
